European and International Alliance for Osmotic Energy

A meeting supported by the DG Environment of the European Commission was held with key European stakeholders to promote salinity gradient power development and recognition as renewable energy. At this meeting the Alliance was initiated.

• Empowerment of membrane producers, scholars and developers
• Initiation and facilitation of demonstration projects to enhance upscaling and commercialisation
• Enhance European and International visibility of Osmotic Energy and its supply chain
• Contribute to assessing the European and Global resources available for Osmotic Energy, in estuaries, on land, at industrial sites and provide information for environmental impact analysis and mitigation
